TOP BIO, INC has introduced new blood-based colorectal cancer screening.

Unlike other products in the market, ONCOCHECK offers a relatively accurate diagnosis of colorectal cancer progression.
It uses a blood sample to execute a RT-qPCR molecular diagnosis to find a positivity of advanced adenoma and colorectal cancer in patients.
For the diagnosis, it uses 15 RNA genetic markers in the blood sample to provide an accurate diagnosis, without the need for invasive procedures.
The results indicate whether the patient has colorectal cancer or  advanced adenoma , which are precursors to colorectal cancer.
The diagnosis result then can recommend a colonoscopy for patients who have positive test results, which can help reduce unnecessary colonoscopy screening.

Based on the results of a preliminary study involving more than 1,300 clinical samples, ONCOCHECK has shown sensitivity of 92% for colorectal cancer and 85% for  advanced adenoma, with a specificity of 91%.
